The Trip To Japan
Trip To Japan
It was a very
amazing and well organized program
that Twincle has conducted.
Luckily I was invited to represent Senior High School 3 Bandung West Java
Indonesia to go to Chiba University and it was my first trip to Japan. I spent
there only for 5 days but it was unforgettable experience. We were welcomed and
assembled in meeting point at Narita Airport. We met some nice familiar faces from Japan. Then we drove to
Chiba University on bus. It took us around forty five minutes to arrive
at Chiba University Campus. It is very huge campus with some buildings in the
site when I recognize later on actually there are Elementary school, Junior
High School and Senior High School in the location. Moreover the blossom white flowers and the shade tall
trees around the campus were so amazing.
It was so lovely to see. There were several activities on the first
day. Gathering in a class
to have some tea and cookies, we talked with the hosts to make us comfort to new atmosphere especially for some participants who were first time to come to Japan.
Afterward we were introduced to class
activities before we had our lunch. The lecturers told us not only about their
curriculum applied in their lecture but also the programs run in the laboratories
as we observed some rooms.
It was very warm and heartened
welcome when we had our lunch and several
spectacular performances from some students and lecturers performed as some of
participants took part in the performances.
Before we had a tour to university library we posed in front
of our own camera. All participants looked enthusiasm sly to the program
arranged.
The library is very cozy for the students to study and find
the articles there. The library is so spacious equipped with all
sophisticated gadgets and computers and
abundant source of books and materials.
After looking around the library for half an hour, we came to our hotel we spent for
4 nights . It was very tall and
big luxurious hotel with delicious food
we had in our dinner and every morning breakfast.
In the first night we had a
welcome party with all the Twincle
participants. All looked very charming and kind. The food was very
delicious and beautifully arranged with
some garnished on it. It was wonderful dinner I had.
It was also the time to introduce
the 25 participants coming from 5
universities in Indonesia. There are delegates from Indonesia University ( UI )
from Jakarta , Bogor Agricultural Institute ( IPB ) and Bandung Technology Institute ( ITB ), Gajah
Mada University ( UGM ) from Jogyakarta
and Udayana University from Bali. We are
coming from different provinces in
Indonesia except IPB and ITB ,
there are coming from the same province West Java.
There were a lot of choices of stuffs served
by talented and skillful cooks.

In
the following day the program had been arranged. After we had our lunch we
prepared to assembly in a hall which the students of the Twincle program
presenting the activities they had done in some places in Indonesia.
It was very attractive presentations that the
students contributed in their performances. The audience questioned the
presenters and it enhanced the
all participants to take part in the programs. The meetings lasted for
nearly 5 hours and none left the room till the students of Junior High School
and Senior High School presented their experiments in front of us.
The
meeting stopped at 6 p.m on 16 March
2013 and we had dinner in Chiba Cafeteria.
We were getting closer and closer to each other as the time went by.
It
was Sunday. My friends from Bandung and I
would like to see the cherry blossom so we planned to go to Tokyo by
train. It was very awesome to see the Japanese in the train. They were so nice people always
walking in rush and keep silent no sound among them. We had to go Ueno Park as
one guest in the cafeteria told us. It was so beautiful park and I saw a lot of
people capturing the lovely cherry blossom.
It
was our last day that we had to visit schools around Chiba University. We
visited to a science class in Junior
High School. The students were so attentively having their experiment in their
chemistry class. It took only half an hour to be there then we come to Chiba Municipal
Senior High School. I recognized that the students were so
seriously studying on the subjects as they had presented on the slides on the
previous 2 days.
At
last, In the afternoon we had a farewell
party. Still the cooks served us delicious food for us. On that occasion one of
my students came to see me. He is a doctor now he is studying in remote sensing
in Chiba university. I feel so happy knowing this that there are a lot of
Indonesian students studying in Japan.
Hopefully it remarks a good prosperous future
for Indonesian students especially in joining the Twincle program.
Thank you for every one, to
all my fellows all the best you have done. I am so speechless to gratitude to
the kindness all the hospitality. It is my awesome grateful memories I have got
